My brakes are making noises
Common noises from brakes include but are not limited to:
- Squeaking,
- Grinding,
- Any New Noises when braking
These or other sounds when using the brakes is an indicator that there’s an issue with the braking system.
If you’ve noticed a change in your car’s brake System
If your brakes are:
- Slipping,
- Stalling,
- Spongey
- Stiff or Hard Brakes
- Vibrating
- Dashboard lights including ABS or Check Engine Lights
If you have your brakes looked at. Have you noticed you’re stepping down harder to get the brakes to engage? Has there been a change in when your brakes work, for example, do you have to start braking at greater distances? These are all indicators that there’s an issue with your braking system.
I’m having issues braking, what could be wrong?

My brakes are newer, why would they break?
If your vehicle has received abnormal wear and tear from an activity, rough roads, weather, curbs or other damage it could have impacted your brakes.
Confirm that your technician checked your brake system when changing the brakes. If you feel an issue was overlooked ask them to run a full check again on your brake system.
